Though as others have noted not always in a good way. Is it the environmentalists in arms about pollution, or the communists over housing? Who exactly is protesting, how many citizens are involved and why? The drill down menus provide information, but I was unable to pinpoint which of my low factions were the ones protesting. It would also help to have more information on the screen when players receive the message that citizens are protesting. A couple of times I placed a road next to a building and it later turned out that a slight bend in the road created problems. Instead of a mammoth structure to start, how about a simple motor pool?Īlso connecting buildings to roads needs to be a bit more clear. Perhaps gravel roads or something less intrusive to start, and then being able to upgrade to fully paved roads later in the game. The roads were a bit clunky to lay down, and seemed very wide for the amount of space available on the island. Would like to see a bit more refinement with roads and the garage structures. Once I could actually see where the crop fields were located, I built around those. Food just never became an issue for me.Īs for the farms, I built them and let them develop for a full season before building too much around them (including roads). You can kind of gauge it from clicking on a person and looking at their needs. Even after issuing the Food for the People edict, I didn’t hear of any problems. I agree also that it’s hard to know your food levels, but I never had a shortage that I could tell. ![]() I even went around once after a new apartment finished and destroyed all the shacks. I tried to build apartment units enough to get ahead, but the construction was so slow, the damn boat always came before I could finish 1 building. Every time the boat arrived, new immigrants came with it. The best I could figure, housing need was a never ending thing. If I see shacks does it mean people can’t afford my 1 cost tenements or does is that just life? How can I tell? I find it really hard to know what is going on with housing - ie, how much my people need and can afford.
